busy nite SLOPPY joes

Tonight is one of those everything is happening on the same night, nights. My oldest has an orchestra concert, middle son indoor soccer game, me I’m going to Faith House fundraising event, and Kenny is working! Ok you go with Grandma and Grandpa, you go with friends to game, I will go to event by myself, and girls well you stay home and take notes on American Idol! What to eat…what to feed my family quick, quick…..

Sloppy Joes
2 lbs ground beef lean browned
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 can tomato soup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried mustard or 1 tablespoon regular mustard from the fridge
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon Natures Seasoning salt (Mortons)

this is so easy just brown your meat and onion together throw in the rest of the ingredients cook over low-med heat for 15 to 20 minutes serve on a bun or over bread if you don’t have buns. Top with cheese if you like, we are having potato chips with our meal tonight FANCY! I know, hang on to your hats.

To be honest my kids groan at this meal, but they eat it, cause I make them. “It’s this or you starve people!” Once they dig in there is really no complaints so go figure!?

Have a good night,

Looks great. Would love to win the cookbook. Just recently found the Pioneer Woman. Love your blog as well. My husband is an Ob/Gyn and I have 2 little boys.

I am sure that is tastier than the stuff in the can I usually serve my family. My hubby likes his over rice which I told him is just plain weird.

I remember days like that! What a great mom to make them something rather than running thru Wendy's:) I love Sloppy Joe's, which we haven't had in forever, but I bet we will soon and I will use your recipe!

Yeah, you're kids groan at this meal because they've been eatin' like Kings and Queens lately:) And I'm impressed…busy night and you still did homemade BBQ – I would have done the predone manwich meal in a jar or the old standby…Mac-N-Cheese:). I'm sending my kiddos to your palace for their meals!
