Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 1/4 cup bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons yeast

Filling

  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2-3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Frosting

  • 1 pound powdered sugar 3 1/3 cups
  • 1/2 stick of butter melted 1/4 cup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup half&half or milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Add dough ingredients into your bread machine pan, use the dough setting. When dough is finished remove from pan and place on a lightly floured surface. Roll dough out into a large rectangle. (roughly 1 hour)
  • Spread softened butter over surface of rolled dough, sprinkle granulated sugar, follow with brown sugar, then sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the entire surface.
  • Roll dough into a long poster like roll, pinching dough together at ends and along the middle to seal.
  • Use a serrated knife to slice one inch slices of dough off and place them into 9 inch round buttered baking dishes. Cover with towel or cloth and let dough rise for 30 minutes in a warm spot in your kitchen.
  • If your oven has a proof setting this works best. After rising place in 350 degree oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Whip ingredients for frosting together until smooth, thick, and fluffy. Approximately 2 minutes. If frosting seems too stiff then add a tablespoon of milk at a time until the consistency is right. Frost rolls while they are warm.
  • Share. Enjoy. Repeat.
