Ingredients
1/2cupbuttersoftened
1/2cupcrisco shortening
1cupsugar
3ouncepackage Jello gelatinany flavor
2wholeeggs
1tspvanilla extract
2 1/2cupsall purpose flour
1tspbaking powder
1tspsalt

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend butter, crisco shortening, sugar, and Jello together with mixer, approximately 3 minutes on medium high speed.
Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Scrape down sides of the bowl.
Measure out the flour, add baking powder, and salt to flour and mix. Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients. Mix until just combined, scrape sides of bowl and give the mixer another turn or two.
Scoop tablespoon of dough out, roll into ball, roll ball in sugar, place on a parchment lined baking sheet. With the bottom of a flat juice cup of the back of a spatula gently press cookie dough ball down.
Bake for 9-10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet.
Notes
Hershey Kiss Blossom Cookies: place cookie dough ball on baking sheet do not press down, bake for 10-12 minutes. While still warm push an unwrapped Hershey's Hug Candy down into cookie.Cut out Cookie: after mixing dough together, place on a well floured surface, sprinkle with flour, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness, using cookie cutters cut out shapes, transfer to parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely on baking sheet before transferring. (If dough seems to sticky, place in refrigerator for 30 minute -1 hour before rolling out.
