Ingredients

  • 1 - 12 ounce bag of fresh whole cranberries
  • 1 whole orange zested and juiced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground clove
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  • Add the cranberries to a sauce pan with orange zest, liquid (juice from orange and enough water added to make 3/4 cup liquid) , and brown sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes until cranberries start to pop and burst open.
  • Add remaining ingredients: nuts, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove, stir to combine. Turn heat down to low, continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes until relish has cooked down relish begins to thicken. You can add more water or orange juice if you prefer the consistency to be looser.
  • Allow to cool and serve. Or if making in advance, allow to cool and store in an airtight container up to a week.
